McKay Case Study

For this heritage property installation, we travelled to the village of Todwick on the outskirts of Sheffield. Not far from the M1 motorway, it was a quick and easy journey from our Ilkeston headquarters. The McKay family had been looking for a viable alternative to replace their failing timber windows. They wanted to maintain the heritage appearance while improving the performance of their windows.

Authentic Ultimate Rose sliding sash windows

The McKay family had contacted uPVC sash window manufacturers Roseview Windows for information about their products. After being impressed with the standard and authenticity of the Rose Collection, the McKays decided to choose the Ultimate Rose; the most authentic model in the Rose Collection which is often approved for use in conservation areas.

Fabricated using high quality REHAU profiles, the Ultimate Rose perfectly blends the classic with the contemporary and can be specified to emulate a range of period styles. The McKay family chose a white wood grain finish with a single vertical astragal bar which is stylish and understated and perfectly complements the property’s traditional stone-fronted façade.

For this installation, we were referred to the customer by Roseview Windows as part of their approved installer network. To qualify as a Roseview approved installer, it was essential that our installers met a range of professional criteria. As Roseview approved installers, our team have shown that they possess all the required skills and knowledge to successfully complete a heritage window installation.

One of the main reasons for the window replacement project was to reduce property maintenance levels. Their old timber windows had become costly and time-consuming to maintain and they wanted a low maintenance alternative. With their new uPVC sliding sash windows they can relax in the knowledge that with only the occasional wipe down with warm soapy water, they will continue to look great and perform to the highest standards for many years.
