For this project, we visited the pretty hamlet of Babbington. Located just seven miles from Nottingham city centre, Babbington is a world away from the bustle of city life. Traditional cottages line the leafy lanes of the area with the quaint properties and farmhouses being typical of the English countryside.
When we first visited the property, we installed a set of Origin OB49 bifold doors and matching OW80 windows. Finished in stylish Anthracite Grey, the new windows and doors created a stylish and understated aesthetic with the slimline profiles of both the bifolds and the windows helping to maximise natural light intake. The new aluminium glazing also helped to significantly improve the property’s thermal performance and security standards.
Contact UsHaving upgraded their property’s exterior, our customers now wanted to add some stylish aluminium doors to their home interior. To create an elegant entrance to their modern kitchen and dining area, they selected a set of Origin aluminium French doors which open out into the open plan dining/entertaining space.
Origin internal doors are bespoke designed to meet each customer’s specific requirements. In this instance, our clients wanted to separate their kitchen/dining/lounge area from the rest of their home. The positioning of the new glazing creates a dramatic entranceway to the high specification living area.
The adjoining side panels function as a hallway section that leads into the dining area. The large expanse of glass used allows natural light to flow through the property increasing light levels. Each door features three panes with a bottom level aluminium panel chosen for safety. The side panels each feature six large glass panes and an aluminium lower panel to match the doors. The structure also features a small fixed light window at the top section of both side panels and both doors.
Our clients are now enjoying a transformed home interior which is perfectly in keeping with the rest of their property’s aesthetic.
