The Ashburner family from Beeston in Nottinghamshire were fed up with their existing conservatory getting too hot in summer and being too cold during the winter. They were frustrated that their glazed extension was unusable for a large part of the year and it was a complete waste of valuable floor space.

To rectify the situation and create a year-round usable living space, we suggested the Livinroof from Ultraframe. The Livinroof was the perfect solution to the Ashburner’s conservatory problems. Lightweight in design, it is perfect for conservatory roof replacements, providing excellent levels of thermal efficiency while still allowing an abundance of natural light into the room.

Stylish Deceuninck Heritage windows and French doors

The Ashburner’s existing conservatory featured a polycarbonate roof and standard casement windows and French doors supported by a dwarf brick wall. The dwarf wall and foundations were in excellent condition, so it was just a case of ‘out with the old and in with the new’.

For the new windows and French doors, we suggested the Heritage Collection from Deceuninck. Their flush frames create an understated charm and specified in smooth white, they have helped to brighten up the Ashburner’s home exterior.
