Our initial consultations with the Russell family revealed their desire for a home that could accommodate their growing needs while maintaining its character. They dreamed of open, light-filled spaces more seamlessly connecting with their garden. We worked with the Russells to create a comprehensive renovation plan that included a wrap-around extension, replacement of all windows with heritage flush sash units, installation of a modern roof lantern, and the addition of bifold doors. Our designers worked closely with the client to refine the plans, ensuring every detail aligned with their vision and budget. New Wrap-Around Extension

The centrepiece of this transformation was the ambitious wrap-around extension. This significant addition encompassed a welcoming front porch, a spacious side extension, and a light-filled rear extension. Significant structural steelwork was required to create the open-plan living space our clients desired.

Origin Aluminium Bifold Doors

To achieve the indoor-outdoor living experience our clients desired, we installed Origin aluminium bifold doors for primary access to the garden. These high-performance doors offer the perfect blend of functionality and aesthetics. The slim aluminium frames maximise the glass area, providing unobstructed garden views even when closed.

The Origin bifold doors feature a smooth, easy-to-use opening mechanism, allowing our clients to open their home to their garden effortlessly. This creates a stunning visual impact and practical benefits for entertaining and everyday living. Excellent thermal performance and security features also provide peace of mind and comfort in all seasons.

Heritage Flush Sash Windows

To improve performance but maintain the home's character, we replaced all existing windows with Heritage Flush Sash units. These windows are designed to replicate the appearance of traditional timber frames, with flush exterior glazing and authentic-looking joints.

Despite their traditional appearance, these windows offer all of the benefits of modern uPVC, including excellent thermal efficiency, sound insulation, and low maintenance requirements. The flush sash design means the windows sit flush within the frame, creating a sleek, streamlined look.

Ultraframe UltraSKY Lantern

To crown the new extension and bathe the space in even more natural light, we installed a stunning roof lantern, the Ultraframe UltraSKY Lantern. This contemporary roof lantern not only serves as a bold architectural feature but also significantly enhances the feeling of space and light in the extension.
