This large rurally located property was in need of a glazing upgrade and Lifestyle Windows were the perfect choice for the Simpson family. Their existing timber windows were a constant source of problems and were becoming increasingly costly and time-consuming to maintain. For the installation, it was essential to retain the property’s heritage aesthetic while improving the window’s performance and durability.

After visiting the property, located in the small village of Elmton in Derbyshire, we recommended Residence 9 traditional flush sash windows. Residence 9 windows are designed to tastefully replicate the appearance of 19th century timber windows. Their flush exterior creates a clean and uniform finish which requires little to no maintenance to keep them looking and performing like new.

To stay in keeping with the farmhouse appearance, the Simpsons chose to finish their new windows in understated Clotted Cream. This colour is light and clean without being overpoweringly bright and is perfectly suited to the ‘rural retreat’ aesthetic. With 27 windows requiring replacement and two sets of French doors, it was imperative that the Simpsons were completely happy with their product choice.
