Updating the look as well as the performance

The Woodward’s conservatory had begun to look a bit tired and outdated, so we were called to give it a facelift. But not only was its look improved, its performance was given a welcome boost too. To kick off improvements we started with the roof, replacing the existing glass roof with a high-performance LivinROOF and feature glazing. The LivinROOF is a lightweight and versatile alternative to a tiled roof conservatory. A modern roofing solution, they are constructed from insulated composite panels. Whilst these are excellent for enhancing a conservatory’s thermal qualities, they are not transparent, meaning less light could enter the structure. However, the feature glazing ensured plenty of light could still find its way in, making sure the Woodward family could still enjoy plenty of sunshine. Because the energy efficiency of the structure is now markedly improved, the Woodward family can look forward to a warmer conservatory and lower energy bills too!

Paying homage to the old whilst embracing the new

An elegant cornice, traditional in design, was also added to the roof, allowing the conservatory to retain that classic Victorian style. When combined with the Heritage uPVC Windows and French doors, a traditional looking appearance was assured, although the performance benefits were anything but traditional; Heritage uPVC windows and doors are incredibly thermally efficient and are fitted with the latest security hardware, increasing the comfortableness of the space and increasing our customer’s peace of mind. Anthracite Grey was chosen for the framing colour, meaning a contemporary twist was introduced to its look, resulting in a stunning hybrid of old and new design.

Taking the extra step for our customers

For this job, not only did we renovate their conservatory, we also took care of Building Regulations approval. Taking care of Building Control approval is one of the common services we provide when performing conservatory refurbishments. However, our in-house team also took care of the electrics and plastering, two other components of our conservatory restoration service, for this conservatory’s interior. Finally, new skirting and window boards were added, leaving the Woodward family with a stunning interior space to use at their pleasure.
